From now on, trolleybus 81 will run on a modified and extended route between Mexikói út M and Örs vezér tere M+H. In both directions, the trolleybus serves the Füredi utca–Vezér utca–Szugló utca–Miskolci utca–Ungvár utca–Kassai tér–Nagy Lajos király útja route, towards Örs vezér tere M+H via Horváth Boldizsár utca, Amerikai út and Kacsóh Pongrác út, while towards Mexikói út M it runs via Ógyalla köz, Szőnyi út and Mexikói út.

The line does not serve its previous stops, but on its new route uses the stops of trolleybus lines 74 and 82, the Miskolci utca / Szugló utca stop of trolleybus line 77, as well as the newly established stops on Miskolci utca: Miskolci utca / Erzsébet királyné útja, Miskolci utca / Kerékgyártó utca, Huszt utcai lakótelep and Miskolci utca / Csömöri út. Passengers can get on the line at the former boarding point of trolleybus 74A at the Mexikói út M terminus and at the boarding point of trolleybus 82 at the Örs vezér tere M+H terminus.

Trolleybus 74A no longer operates.
